Murtaja Sabri, Country Director

Murtaja is the Senior Iraqi representative of the management team who is responsible for the management of all Iraqi national workforce within Erinys, as well as all governmental matters, with an emphasis on compliance with local requirements.

Murtaja holds a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Baghdad. He started working with Erinys in 2003 and has built an extensive and influential network of contacts within various government ministries through the years. His far-reaching connections at all levels and departments within the Government framework is highly respected both within Erinys and the industry.

He was a part of the management team when Erinys had over 18,000 staff during the training and deployment of the Oil Protection Force. Murtaja is highly skilled in the management of operational risk associated with all local regulatory compliance, including legal, tax and labour matters.

Murtaja was appointed Country Director of Erinys Iraq Limited in 2020, and is based out of Erinys HQ, in Mansour, Baghdad.

Patrick Scott, Country Operations Manager

Patrick brings a wealth of leadership, operational expertise, and mentorship to his role as Country Operations Director. Commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1987, he served 17 years in the Army before transitioning to senior management roles in both hostile and high net worth environments.

Renowned for leading large-scale, complex operations, Patrick has consistently delivered exceptional results. As a Senior Project Manager with Erinys Iraq, he oversaw major projects involving diverse teams and challenging clients, maintaining high service delivery standards and strategic vision. His leadership, moral courage and mentorship earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

His hands-on approach, critical thinking, and dynamic problem-solving drive operational excellence, embody the ideals, standards, and values of a professional senior manager. 

Wayne McHugh, Country Operations Manager

Wayne McHugh, Country Operations Manager

Wayne is our Country Operations Manager with a wealth of experience within the security industry. Wayne's  background includes service in the British Military and UK Police, complemented by his role as the Corporate Security Manager for Bohai Engineering, overseeing all southern Iraq projects. Wayne has a proven track record in building and managing multiple projects through effective interaction with government and company agencies, as well as liaising with local communities.

Wayne is skilled in project and operational management, mobile and static security, close protection, physical and personal security, and corporate security.

Wayne joined Erinys in 2022 as the Security Manager of a residential camp for multiple oil and gas companies. He then advanced to Operations Manager, covering two provinces in Iraq, before becoming the Country Operations Manager, based out of Erinys Iraq's Operations Headquarters in AMBP Burjesia.

Justin Marshallsay, Training & HSE Manager

Justin Marshallsay is our Iraq HSE & Training manager. Justin provides a wealth of knowledge gained from 13 years’ experience working in Iraq, with Erinys as well as another international security company, covering all three regions in Iraq, from Erbil in the North to Basra in the South.

Prior to deploying to Iraq and upon leaving the British Army as an Infantry warrant officer with 24 years’ service and multiple tours, Justin entered the private security role as a security team 2IC and then on to become a Team Leader in both, commercial and on DOD projects. Justin moved onto operations and training manager roles for a renowned international PSC for many years before progressing onto the country training manager role supporting both Oil & Gas as well as diplomatic and commercial projects.

Justin provides and builds on existing courses for Erinys' employees and clients, keeping the delivery and content current, realistic, in line with the current threats faced whilst working in Iraq.

Adrian Balcanu, Fleet & Equipment Manager

Adrian Balcanu, Fleet & Equipment Manager

Adrian is a trained mechanical engineer and a natural-born problem solver.

With many years of experience successfully managing logistical challenges within the Romanian Armed Forces followed by a decade of security and logistical solutions management experience in the Mining and Oil & Gas sectors in Africa and Iraq, Adrian ensures that adequate logistical preparation and support is delivered at all times on all Erinys worksites and project locations as our Fleet and Equipment Manager.

Adrian is based out of Al Majal Business Park in Burjessia and supported by the Fleet and Logistics Assistant Managers who are also based out of the AMBP Burjessia office. Adrian is generally mobile when in Iraq, between the Erinys Ops HQ in Burjessia, Erinys' Baghdad HQ, and the various project sites spread across Iraq. 

Having recently completed building his house in Romania, Adrian enjoys working on building cars out of his garage during his time off.

Liubov Kuneff, HR Manager

With over a decade of experience in HR roles within conflict zones and security-focused industries, .Liubov (Luba) Kuneff is a skilled HR coordinator who is dedicated to managing human resources in a healthy and productive workplace. Luba excels at building cohesive teams and fostering positive, results-driven workplace environments. 

Luba has extensive professional HR Management and recruiting experience, working with organisations such as SICIM and Al Hurea in Iraq, and Muse Professional Group in the Seychelles covering Afghanistan and Iraq respectively. 

She has also worked as an Executive Assistant and Interpreter, supporting American and British entrepreneurs in conducting global creative research initiatives, and facilitating international business ventures through her linguistic expertise and organisational acumen. 

Luba's passion for people and organisational excellence drives her commitment to empowering employees and aligning with Erinys Iraq Limited's mission to deliver outstanding security services.

Ram Ale, Fleet Assistant Manager

Ram joined Erinys in 2017 as a Fleet Assistant Manager. Ram has been heavily involved in improving our fleet management system, and was responsible for ensuring that all of Erinys Iraq's vehicles across Iraq are serviced and mainatined in a compliant manner.

Ram also took initiative during the COVID-19 period to single handedly build our vehicle maintenance centre in Al Majal Business Park, Burjesia, allowing for added flexibiliy in managing our fleet in Basra.   

Ram has previously worked with G4S as a training instructor and CCTV operator (Global) at the US Embassy in Baghdad. He also has experience working with multiple private security providers in Iraq as deputy logistics manager and facilities manager.

Prior to joining the commercial sector, Ram served in the Nepalese Army for 11 years, gaining valuable experience as an artillery training instructor, and serving in Lebanon as part of the UN peacekeeping contingent.

 

 

 

Dil Garbuja, Logistics Assistant

Dil Garbuja, Logistics Assistant

Dil Garbuja is Erinys Iraq's Logistics Assistant based out of our Southern Ops HQ. Dil is from Nepal with over 20 years of experience in the private security industry, in both Iraq and Afghanistan. 

Dil has been with Erinys Iraq since 2012 and has been an integral part in ensuring adequate logistical support is planned and delivered so that the day-to-day operations across Iraq can run smoothly.

Prior to joining Erinys, Dil worked with Hart Integrated Solutions and Prime Projects International.

Kyoung Yoon, Commercial Director

Kyoung is responsible for the commercial health of Erinys Iraq Limited, including business development, contracts management, as well as all proposals and quotations.

Prior to joining Erinys in 2012, Kyoung managed the Global Coal and Freight Derivatives Trading Desk for Standard Chartered Bank as its Energy Trader and has previously worked as a business risk management consultant.

Having spent 30 years of his life in the Middle East, Kyoung has a good understanding of business cultures in developed and developing world economies and business portfolio management.

Kyoung served as an intelligence officer in the Republic of Korea Army and holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Korea University with a post-graduate certificate in Shipping Risk Management and Advanced Freight Modelling and Trading from Cass Business School.
